Iron Man

Even though I have never touched or read a comic before in my life, my favourite superhero is Iron Man. He has his own movies and is featured in The Avengers Movie. He first appeared in comics in 1963. He was created by Stan Lee and Larry Leiber and designed by Don Heck and Jack Kirby. He was first featured in the Marvel Comics.

Iron Man has a cocky, know-it-all personality and is very sarcastic. He often gets into arguments with other superheroes because of this personality. His Alter Ego is Anthony Edward ‘Tony’ Stark. The whole world knows that he is iron man. This commonly known playboy millionaire established his own company ‘Stark Industries’. It is located in New York. Iron Man is apart of a numerous amount of superhero team affiliations. Some of these are The Avengers, S.H.I.E.L.D and Illuminati. This has made him more popular.

He decided to become a superhero when he suffered from a severe chest injury during a kidnapping incident. He wears a red and blue spacesuit. He designed his spacesuit to protect him when fighting in battle. This costume allows him to have all these powers and abilities. Stark has no natural abilities other than his genius intelligence and his experience in science, engineering and business.

Iron Man has multiple abilities and powers. Some of these include:

  • Genius Intelligence
  • Strong Armour
  • Flight
  • Energy Repulsors
  • Missiles
  • Superhuman strength and durability
  • Regenerative life support
  • Cyberpath link to his armoured suit

The reason I like Iron Man is due to his personality and his abilities. He is very sarcastic personality and can come off as being really funny. He has a big head about himself and knows he is very talented. Iron Man has worked extremely hard to be as well knowned as he is today. He has spent hours and hours on end to achieve his greatness. He has defined knew limits to the comic world, today. I admire both of these aspects of Iron Man’s personality and believe that without Iron Man, superheroes wouldn’t have such an extensive range of abilities today.

  1. I especially appreciate this response given your admission that comics and superheroes aren’t your thing. Perhaps as a result, you have opted for a post based in facts rather than emotional arguments. I enjoyed how you outlined Iron Man’s personality, strengths and weaknesses. In future posts, I would like to see you experiment with more of a personal and entertaining tone. Keep in mind that “apart” means separated, as opposed to “a part”, which means belonging too. They are quite different. Overall, a well-written, detailed and evidence-based post. Top stuff!

  2. I quite liked your blog post. I like how you talked about his alter ego and how that influences who Iron Man is. Good job! 🙂
